The captain announced pretty early on that we would not be making our first scheduled stop to Freeport. This was because of the wind, and wouldnt be safe to try. we all understood, and we went about our day to enjoy the day at sea. We started with a huuuuge breakfast, then a nap by the pool. They increased the activities on the ship to try and make up for missing our stop. Im sure they had something for everyone…for us it was a holdem tourn at 2:00pm…which we both made to the final table but didnt win. We lost a lot of money, so to comfort us, we…what else? Ate some comfort food! Took our showers, and went back to the casino. LOL.. We had better luck this round. The cash holdem table is where we were, and the casino was buying us drinks. This was the only table in the casino that the casino bought drinks for. Well, Hubby had too much to drink, and things went downhill from there that night. Not a good night for us. But not the cruises falt. I lost him at one point, and his phone wasnt working so, I ended up waiting in the room for a while. One of the staff came to the door and saw I was worried, and made me a little puppy dog out of two towels, and two andys mints. I thought that was so sweet. I took a picture. Dont worry he wasnt lost forever. I found him after coming back from another search passed out in his bed. so, i went on to bed myself, it was late.
Day 3 Grand Bahama Island
Hubby had a headache, wonder why. Had a kiss and make up session. We looked our window and saw land! Then went to see about anexcursion. We ate then made it in time for the snorkling excursion. This was a whole lot of fun. We took a boat out to a reef and snorkled for about an hour. The crew on the boat were super funny. I had never snorkled before, we both had a lot of fun once we got it all figured out. It was very peaceful. I would do it again. On the ride back to our boat, we enjoyed watching one of the young workers on the boat hit on this girl. It was hilarious. He was doing pretty well! Then we napped in the sun the rest of the way. Once we got back to the port we decided to get something to eat on the island. We went walking around, and got talked into buying a few things. I bought a few neat things for the girls. We didnt really like seeing the way these people lived. I thought the port itself was kind of depressing. We didnt budget for going to Atlantis, wish we would had…. so other than the snorkle part, I could have done with out seeing this stop. We decided not to eat on the island and go have our good ol buffet. **Oh my gosh, I forgot to mention on our fist day, before going to the casino we ate at one of the boats specialty restaurants Cagneys steakhouse I think its called. This was a $20 a person upgrade, Buuuut soooo worth it! Especially since my wonderful agent hooked us up with a coupon book that gave us buy one get one free here! Superb. Really! Must try!
