Carnival Destiny Cruise – Just got home
Jess and I just pulled in after a day that consisted of disembarking the Carnival Destiny, going to the Miami Seaquarium, and flying home. Tomorrow I will be uploading most of the trip photos and writing my final review of the Carnival Destiny and our whole vacation experience.
It was a well-timed departure from reality. I am very excited to be home with the kids and even to get back to work. After being home only an hour, I have a list of things that I did not miss from reality while on our cruise vacation:
Political Ads
Negative Media
Traffic
Chilly weather
Concerned about what I am going to fix for the next meal
Making my bed
Getting Bills out of the Mailbox
Getting the kids ready for School
While on our Cruise, I would have never known that we had been through such a horrible past month in our markets and financial system. The great news is that on the Carnival Destiny, the economy looked strong and alive. Everyone was ejoying themselves which is easy to do with all of the meals and entertainment included in the price of the cruise.
All I can think about is how positive everyone would be if they would do a quick 3 or 4 night cruise getaway. The prices are lower than ever. Everyone seems so wound up from the everday stresses of life combined with getting bombarded by negativity from Media and Politics. There were tens of thousands of travelers who have just returned home from a cruise. I am sure 99% of those people would tell you that it was a perfect time to get away and that it was worth every penny. Coming home rejuvenated and renergized will only help you excel in reality. It is an investment in yourself, why wait?
Be back tomorrow, I will post the pictures and the final review. If you think of stuff not on my list that you would like to get away from for 4 days please add them in the comments!
