Twitter Real-Time Cruise Deal Alerts

When trying to get the best deal for a particular cruise, timing is everything. I work with an astute Team of Deal Finders..I constantly search and work with the Cruise Lines to get the best cruise deals. My job once I get the deals is to distribute those deals to as many people as possible who may be interested to give those people the best chance of booking the cruise at the great price. In some cases, we cause such an uptick in volume that the prices increase.

It makes me happy that people get onto the cruises for less than what everyone else paid thanks to this effort.

One of my favorite places that I get deals out to “followers” in real time is Twitter.com. The issue (but what makes Twitter awesome) with Twitter is that I am limited to 140 character posts. To kick off the New Year, I want to settle in on a format when posting deals on Twitter. I want to post the info about the deal that is most important to my followers….I do not want to post deals with links that cause people to click on a deal that they would never take because I left out an important piece of info in my 140 Character post. That just pisses people off…(Like why did they not mention that this cruise departs from NYC, I live in Miami)

So to make my Deal Posts more useful for my followers on Twitter, I need for you to rank the importance of the following information on the Cruise Deal because in most cases I am not able to post all this info in 140 Characters:

1. Price
2. General Destination (ie. Western Caribbean, Baja Mexico, Europe)
3. Specific Destination Port Highlights, (ie. Jamaica, Cabo, Venice)
4. Departure Port
5. Date
6. Cruise Line
7. Length of Cruise

Rank these in the comments section, so that I can make the deals post as useful as possible!

There is no reason you should be scouring the internet for the best deals, we spend hours each week finding the best deals…just follow @CruiseSource on Twitter.

  1. I want the best deal to Alaska in July Roundtrip Seattle. I do not care too much about cruise line or specific stops.

  3. Many mistakes people make about booking a cruise is being too general or too broad on an answer like ‘best deal’ on a certain destination without knowing why you want to take the cruise for.

As a cruise travel agent, we are doing our best to find the best values besides providing the lowest and average price compromising the best cruise experience each guest deserved to take.

Sometimes, it is our best approach is to create the best cruise experience besides giving out the lowest price. All cruise lines have different experiences for different tastes.

The internet has created a huge confusion and skepticism on information given and it is our job to dissect the correct information.

Remember, the internet and cruise line’s answer are not the final answer without consulting a competent and knowledgeable cruise travel agent.
