Similar to last year, my November and December are ridiculously busy thanks to inaugural cruises, conferences, and group cruises. Don’t get me wrong… I’m not complaining, this is how I like it.
Earlier this month, I was the Social Media Marketing Presenter at the Cruise Holidays’ end of year conference in Cancun, Mexico where I had the tough assignment of following the energetic Dondra Ritzenthaler & Vickie Freed.
I’ve also had two group cruises, the Cruise4Haiti and the Carolina Singles Cruise both planned and promoted via social media set sail last week. Cruise4Haiti, the Voluncruise that raised money and increased awareness of the continued need in Haiti departed on 11.14.10. the Cruise4Haiti was a huge team effort lead by @kidtravel, @CruiseBuzz, & me (@cruisesource) with tons of support from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Airline Ambassadors, For Haiti with Love, the DoubleTree Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay, American Airlines, and many in the online travel community. The Carolina Singles Cruise hosted by Charlotte Matchmaker Sheryl Spangler successfully set sail on 11.13.10. They’ve already started the planning of the 2nd annual Carolina Singles Cruise.
More to Come:
On Friday 11.26.10, I’m headed down to Ft. Lauderdale to be one of the first to cruise on the Allure of the Seas on her 2 day inaugural sailing. As I did on the NCL Epic and Oasis of the Seas Inaugurals, I’ll be reporting live on Twitter and loading pics and video on the Allure of the Seas Posterous site.
On 12.1.10, I’m going to New Orleans to host the 2nd Annual Social Fresh Cruise on board the Carnival Triumph. This is my favorite cruise of the year because I get to spend 4 days at sea with many of my online friends discussing the future of Social Media. Did I mention that I love my job?
The next 2 weeks are super busy, Follow @CruiseSource on Twitter to get live updates, pics, & video from the Allure of the Seas and from Social Fresh Cruise.
