#SeaTweetup picks up steam with global media coverage
Those of you who’ve been reading CruiseSource over the years know that I was an original cruise geek on Twitter. So I’m honored to be on the planning committee representing the booking agency for the #SeaTweetup, the first Tweetup at Sea for Norwegian Cruise Line.
Last week, even I was amazed to see the #SeaTweetup receive worldwide coverage from the UK to Australia. I think it shows the global love affair that the best social media networkers have with taking their Twitter connections beyond 140 characters. Here at home, the USA Today and Miami Herald both featured our 3 day Bahamas Cruise event.
I’ve included some pics at the bottom from our previous social media themed cruises – to give you an idea of what #SeaTweetup will be like.
With all the press, the #SeaTweetup has the potential to be a true Twitter Summit, where users from around the US and possibly the world come together to discuss how much Twitter has changed their lives and how Twitter will impact our lives and businesses in the future. One planned session is for 15 of the attendees to discuss 1 idea each for how we as Twitter users can make Twitter better when we get home off of the NCL Sky. Have thoughts on what we can do to make Twitter better? The 15 speaker spots for this session are open to those who book first.

MTN Communications is providing 30 minutes of Free Wi-Fi for the first 30 people to book.
This will be the best Tweetup ever for putting your online network on steriods. When we are all Tweeting ‘I’m on a boat’ sailing away from Miami, do not be sitting at home wishing you would have joined us. Reserve your spot now!
