Single Cruisers Finally Getting a Break
One outcome of the down economy and lower demand for cruising is that cruise lines are loosening up their restrictive pricing for single cruisers! While there have always been a few, limited options for singles, we’re seeing more and better deals than ever. As demand picks up we expect this to end, but for now, if you’re a solo cruiser, you have some great options.
Europe River Cruise Solo: Less than the Double Occupancy Fare!
You can cruise solo aboard the AmaCerto for a 7-night Blue Danube Discovery this November for just $1,699. From a pricing perspective, that’s $700 less than the regular double-occupancy fare of $2,399 and you get your own stateroom! Sure, it’s off-season and there’s a chance it could be chilly, but you won’t be battling crowds, and chances are you’re not considering a river cruise as a way to work on your tan anyway! We have four other AmaWaterways cruises with solo pricing too, give us a call for more information!
Norwegian Epic’s Studio Solo
You don’t have to wait for a special to take advantage of Norwegian’s solo studio staterooms. These are interior staterooms designed and built exclusively for single travelers. The décor is definitely “cool and hip” (think modern loft) and have flat-screen TVs, funky lighting and jewel-tone soft goods. They are equipped with two lower beds that convert to a queen. What’s special though is that they are built around a private club that can only be accessed by guests using their keycard. “The Living Room” is a shared private lounge with a bar, two big-screen TVs and comfy seating for hanging out and mingling with other solo travelers.

SinglesCruise.com—Built JUST for Singles
A sister company to CruiseDeals.com, SinglesCruise.com offers 15 to 20 cruises a year just for single travelers. The groups range in size from 50 to over 450, typically with an even mix of women and men. Singles of all ages are welcome on every cruise—we’ll have people from their 20s to their 70s! We do organize a few cruises aimed at different age groups, and you can see them all on our website. You’ll find that most of our cruises are destined for the sunny Caribbean however; we do offer some European itineraries on a limited basis.
For our loyal customers it’s really about traveling with other people in the same boat (okay, bad pun) as themselves and the friendships and camaraderie is what makes a SinglesCruise really different than just cruising single. We offer roommate matching and single occupancy options—check out SinglesCruise.com here.
