EPIC Hotel Miami for a Luxury Pre or Post Cruise stay
Thanks to last weekend’s SeaTweetup II Cruise and Bon Voyage Party, I found the ideal pre & post cruise hotel for our upscale clients cruising out of Miami, FL.
As my cab pulled up beside a Ferrari and Lamborghini parked in front of the EPIC hotel, I got the feeling I was in for a truly luxurious experience.
I later learned that the Epic Hotel is home to Zuma an upscale Sushi and Japanese restaurant. Zuma is one of the hottest restaurants in Miami and fills to capacity with to their daily business lunch explaining the Ferrari and Lamborghini parked out front.
The EPIC Hotel is a luxury hotel loaded with amenities focused on keeping their guests comfortable and relaxed throughout their stay. I did not have an opportunity to experience the spa, but as you can see in the photos below a poolside massage in a private cabana is quite tempting.
Service: At every touch point the EPIC Hotel’s staff provided attentive service from the front desk to room service to the pool attendees.
The Room: My view from 27th floor waterview room balcony was amazing day and night.
The room’s open floor plan allowed me to take in the view while getting ready for the evening. Many times when I arrive in a hotel room, I want to immediately get out and venture around the city. At the EPIC, I was fine with taking my time freshening up and relaxing in the comfort of my room.
Award winning. I’m not the only one showering the EPIC Hotel with praise. The EPIC Hotel Miami won the 2010 Trip Advisor awards for Top 10 Luxury, Top 10 Trendiest, and Top 25 Hotels. They also won Travel & Leisure’s award for top 10 Roof Top Lounges.
And in 2012 ranked in the top 20 Florida Hotels by Conde Nast Traveler!
The EPIC Hotel’s location is unbeatable
On top of being a top of class property, the Epic Hotel is perfectly located between Bayside and Brickell within walking distance to both. Brickell offers a upscale dining, bars, clubs, and shopping. Bayside Market is more touristy loaded with shopping and dining venues with great views of the marina.
The EPIC hotel also is a water front property. If you get a waterview room, you’ll be able to watch the sunrise over your cruise ship docked at the terminal from your balcony. Getting to the cruise terminal from the Epic Hotel takes a few minutes by cab and will cost you about $10.
Who should stay at the EPIC Hotel Miami?
The Epic Hotel is a perfect fit for Celebrity Cruise Line passengers. The Modern Luxury experience of a Solstice Class ship is very similar to the Epic Hotel. Princess and Regent Seven Seas as well as suite level Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line will feel right at home.
The starting price for a Cityview room appears to typically be around $270 per night. I recommend upgrading to the waterview – the view is so worth it!
If you are cruising out of Miami and have any questions about the EPIC Hotel, please leave them in the comments.
