The Quantum of the Seas moving to China sucks.
OK, there I said it.
As I’ve been editing video and uploading photos from my 3 night Quantum of the Seas cruise, that thought has been in the back of my mind.

Quantum of the Seas Move to China
I understand the Quantum of the Seas move to China from a business perspective. From what I have gathered the Quantum of the Seas is pretty much pre-paid for by large China travel companies who do full ship charters. The Chinese cruising market is projected to see substantial growth as more Chinese cruise ports open and more ships move to that region.
Plus cruise prices in off-peak months to Bermuda, Caribbean, and Bahamas have been much lower than they should be due to the huge increase in inventory with all the new ships. So, moving the Quantum of the Seas will keep it from negatively impacting prices for the rest of the fleet.
But looking at the Quantum of the Seas from a purely cruise enthusiasts point of view…. it sucks that the Quantum of the Seas is moving to China. The Quantum of the Seas is truly unlike any other ship.
As you can see in the video above, the SeaPlex is the best use of space on any cruise ship. From the Ifly Ripcord skydiving stimulator to the Bionic Bar and the robotic screens in Two70 the Quantum experience is unlike anything you’ll even find on land.
Even the internet lived up to the hype, thanks to the internet bandwidth on the Quantum being more than all other cruise ships combined.
