Every time we are at the beach and strong storm starts brewing, I start looking for waterspouts. It is a strange obsession of mine.
Out of hundreds of storms I’ve been in at the beach, I’ve only witnessed one waterspout. We did get a photo, but it was not a very well formed waterspout.
Yesterday, I came across a Cruise Ship Waterspout video in my Facebook Newsfeed. So, I did a little searching and found a couple more cool waterspout at sea videos.

Now this is a well formed waterspout. How would you like to look outside your balcony and see this?
Here is the Norwegian Jewel sailing between multiple waterspouts. Waterspouts are typically less the 72 MPH winds. These here look fairly weak, and you can see all the passengers not too worried up on the pool deck watching the waterspouts.
This video is by far the most amazing. These guys in a small fishing boat head into a storm with many waterspouts. If you go to the 8 Minute mark of the video, they actually go through one of the waterspouts. DON’T ever try this at home – they are not even wearing life jackets.
h/t to the CruiseFever guys for finding the first video.
